The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Loyola University Maryland invites applications for a tenure-track position in Spanish for the 2025-2026 academic year.
A semester course load is 3/3, including core language, conversation, culture and upper-level courses in the field of specialization.
Starting date: Fall 2025.
Requisitos
We seek a teacher-scholar with a specialization in Spanish sociolinguistics and research experience in heritage speakers and/or US Spanish. The ability to teach all levels of Spanish language and culture is required. Ability to teach courses in Spanish for the Professions is expected.
The successful candidate should have experience teaching at the college level. A dynamic research agenda in sociolinguistics is expected as is participation in student and department-related service. Evidence of scholarly promise and teaching excellence required. Ph.D. in hand by July 1, 2025. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish is required.
